JAVIER B. RICO
President / CEO

Jun is the team’s pride in the field of Finance.  An accountant by profession, he is adept in all aspects of accounting, budgeting, treasury, and auditing functions as he has served as an Internal Auditor of a large liquor manufacturer and as a Managing Partner of Miranda & Associates, CPAs.

He has extensive experience in handling foreign funds intended to finance special projects/programs as Finance Officer and Manager for various development projects, i.e., Agriteam Canada Consulting Ltd. for the Pearl2 Project and the Local Government Support Program (LGSP), Philippines-Canada Development Fund (PCDF), and ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc.  He also served as a Project Manager of a national network of NGOs and was instrumental in the realization/construction of the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas, Inc. (PhilDHRRA) Partnership Center.

He also has extensive experience in credit/micro banking operations and management as he currently sits as Acting BoD Chairman of the Antipolo Market Vendors Credit Cooperative and as OIC/BoD Vice Chairman of the Real Achievers Housing Cooperative in the City of Antipolo, among others.

He finished Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Accountancy at Saint Louis University, Masters in Business Administration units in the same University, and units in Bachelor of Laws from the Jose Rizal University in Manila.

MA. CONCEPCION S. FRANCO

Shindee is the team’s pride in arts and design as she has a good taste in mixing and blending colors, texts and pictures that would amaze anyone who would see it.  Just tell her what you want, give her the materials and she will eagerly do the thinking and designing.  What comes out of it would always turn out to be a “showcase”.

She was with the Pearl2 Project as IT-MIS Assistant and Graphic Designer.  As IT-MIS Assistant, she was responsible for troubleshooting of the Project’s hardware and software problems in the absence of the IT Officer, handled technical support and installation of database using php to the Business Support Organizations (BSOs) supported by Pearl2, and provided in-house technical assistance on software and hardware procurement and servicing.   She was also one of the resource persons during the ICT workshops conducted by Pearl2 and in the preparation of the ICT Primer.

Her creative skills and talents were further honed through her work as Pearl2’s in-house Graphic Designer.  She conceptualized and designed various promotional materials for Pearl2, which include designs for tarpaulins, backdrops, brochures, book covers, CD/DVD jackets, CD/DVD labels, website banners and album fillers.  A number of her tarpaulin designs were showcased during the Project’s turnover of programs and services in Cebu.  Her banner designs for website include those for Philexport Cebu (http://www.philexportcebu.net/xportga/) and Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (http://mandauechamber.org/mcciga/)

Her skills also include video production using Power Director.  Her works in line with these were presented as gifts to Canadian officers.  She is proficient in the use of the following softwares: VISUAL BASIC, MICROSOFT OFFICE, MACROMEDIA FLASH, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, FIREWORKS, POWER DIRECTOR and ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS2.   She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from AMA Computer University.


CATHERINE D. RACHO
Director

Cathy delivers results with conviction and passion for excellence.  She has a wealth of experience in running a business, events management and coordination, technical writing, web content management, and creative design auditing, programme development, planning and management and project evaluation.  Her more than 10 years of service with both private and government entities, ranging from project evaluation to field operations, sharpened her analytical, managerial and customer-relations skills.

She served as Outreach and Replication Specialist of Agriteam Canada Consulting Ltd. for CIDA’s Pearl2 Project, where she was responsible for the dissemination of Pearl2’s programs and services through various media and the implementation of sustainability programs for the Project.   She is knowledgeable in the areas of knowledge management, results-based management, environmental management system, gender fairness, strategic social entrepreneurship, information technology, and economic zone operations.  She was instrumental in the development of PEZA operational systems and procedures for the various aspects of zone management at the Sarangani Economic Development Zone in South Cotabato and managed the implementation of PEZA incentives for the lone zone locator, Dole Philippines, Inc.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, majoring in Public Policy and Program Administration, from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.
